April 25, 2019 in the Palace of Independence will open the personal exhibition of Vadim Bykov ” Stay, fleeting moment! You’re divine!”. The event is held in the framework of the program “Ruhani Zhangyru” and “Seven Facets of the Great Steppe”. The exhibition will feature about 50 works.
Vadim Bykov was born in the village of Uritsky, Kostanay region. He studied at the children’s art school of the village. In 1987 he graduated from the TU-102 of the city of Chelyabinsk by specialty in graphic design. From 1989 to 1990 he worked in the art-production workshops of the city of Kostanay. Since 2003, Vadim Bykov has been a member of the Union of Artists of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and since 2006, he has been the chairman of the Kostanay Union of Artists. In 2009, he became the laureate of the Kazyna Prize of the Kostanay Club of Patrons. From 2011 to the present, he has headed the “Art-Studio of Vadim Bykov”.
It should be noted that Vadim Bykov is a participant of numerous regional and republican exhibitions. The winner of the regional exhibition “Young – XXI century” (diploma of the first degree), the participant of the III International festival “Shabyt” 2000. The first personal exhibition “Eye” of Vadim Bykov was held in 2001 in Kostanay Business College. In 2002, exhibitions were presented at the Kostanay Pedagogical College and the Lisakovsk Museum of History and Culture of the Upper Tobol region. In 2003, the exhibition “The World through the Eyes of the Young” was exhibited at the Kostanay Regional Museum of Local History and the Regional Library for children and youth named after I. Altynsarin. In 2004, the personal exhibitions “Graphics Bykov” in the Russian-Kazakhstan State University and the regional library for children and youth names after I. Altynsarin, personal exhibition “Between fact and fantasy” – in Kostanay regional exhibition hall. From 2001 to 2018, the artist had 15 solo exhibitions.
The works of the artist Vadim Bykov were included in the book “The Fine Arts of Kazakhstan”, the five-volume edition “Kazakh Art”, the two-volume edition “Painting of Kazakhstan”. Yury Bondarenko, a professor at KSU named after A. Baitursynov, wrote about the work of Vadim Bykov in his book “Culture in Faces”.
